World Vision Opens Eyes to Charity

04 May World Vision Opens Eyes to Charity

On Tuesday, nine members of our school’s Interact Council had the privilege of attending the 2023 World Vision Youth Conference at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau!

This year’s World Vision Conference was centred around the global water crisis, which affects hundreds of millions of people. Aiming to educate and guide students in facilitating World Vision events at their schools, the event was packed with eye-opening information and advice. From inspiring guest speakers and empowering workshops to stories from across the world in Malawi, the 2023 World Vision Conference presented a range of learning opportunities that changed our perspectives on many aspects of our everyday lives. We came to appreciate the clean water we have unlimited access to, discover issues in the world we’re passionate about, and even write letters to the Prime Minister addressing those issues!

The nine of us had an invaluable experience at the 2023 World Vision Conference, and we hope you’ll look forward to the upcoming 40 Hour Famine fundraising event at Pakuranga College!
