We’ve had some fantastic sports results since our last issue of The Bulletin, read below for the highlights:
Our 1st XI Boys’ Hockey team had a strong win over Mt Roskill Grammar on 22 June. Aman Kumar, Sean Jekel, and Stefan Lim all had strong performances, helping our side to a 3-1 victory! The team then followed this up with a 5-0 win over Howick College the following week. Ka pai boys!
The 1st XI Girls’ Hockey team was also victorious last week, beating St Kent’s 4-0 in a stunning performance on 30 June.
And our Junior Girls’ Hockey team had a great win against Diocesan last week, holding their team scoreless in a 3-0 win! This week they followed it up with a 5-0 win against St Cuthbert’s. Stunning defense, keeping the opposition scoreless two weeks on the trot!
The 1st XI Girls’ Football team had a big won over Rutherford on 22 June, with a 5-2 victory.
Our 1st XI Boys’ Football team has extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 0-0 draw against Howick College on 2 July.
Well done to the 2nd XI Boys’ Football team, who has a 3-1 win against Mt Roskill Grammar on Saturday. Ka pai to Vansh Gulati who scored two goals and was named player of the day!
It’s been two wins on the trot for our 1st XV Rugby team, backing up a win against Waitakere College, with a win over Mt Roskill Grammar at home on 2 July.
Congratulations to the U15 Rugby team on their 33 – 27 win against a previously undefeated Dilworth side. Samson Veilofia was MVP for his prominence on both offence and defence, showing heart both on and off the field in this game.
Our Open A Girl’s Basketball team scored victory against St Cuthbert’s on 23 June, following it up with a 52-7 victory against Selwyn. The team is ranked 2nd in their grade!
The Open A Boys’ Basketball team won a close contest against King’s College on 28 June, taking the game out 45 – 40. They followed up with another close win over Botany Downs, winning 50-43, to sit top of the table!
Mahi pai from our Junior A Boys’ Basketball team who secured a great win against St Kent’s on 22 June! That game marked three wins from three games and the team is sitting top of their table as well!
