Reader’s Cup Champions

The Year 9 team from Pakuranga College has taken out the Reader’s Cup for East and South Auckland! Our five competitors answered detailed questions in a quiz-style format about six novels they read for the competition. With a total score of 52.5, we pipped the three-time winners and hosts Alfriston College by 1.5 points to win our first-ever regional competition. This means the team will now go onto the National Reader’s Cup to compete against the best schools in the country – and have to read another six books!

The winning team members are Aaron Seto, Ashlee Segedin, Chloe Tan, Aliza Jivani, and Samantha Mackenzie, with support from Miss Hart.
