12 May Interact Meets with World Vision to Receive Award, Plan 40 Hour Famine
On 1 -3 July this year, the World Vision 40 Hour Famine will be taking place. Every year Pakuranga College’s Interact Council hosts various events to raise funds for the 40 Hour Famine, and we will continue the tradition this year.
We were fortunate enough to have a youth ambassador from World Vision visit recently to guide the Interact executive team through a workshop that will help us prepare for the big event. Jemiah (World Vision Youth Ambassador) provided the team with useful information and amazing resources to give us the best chance of reaching our goals for this term’s fundraisers. Even better, Jemiah brought with him an award for Interact’s efforts at last year’s 40 Hour Famine. We were excited to win the Most Creative People’s Choice Award and are confident we can be just as creative this year.
This year, the 40 Hour Famine is focusing on the lack of clean water for kids and communities around the world. The Interact Council is excited to get the school informed, involved, and together to support such a worthy cause! Watch this space for upcoming fundraisers that you can support this term!
