15 Mar Howick Youth Council’s Principal’s Breakfast
On Monday 13 March, the local Howick Youth Council held its 2023 Principal’s Breakfast at Te Tuhi Art Centre in Pakuranga. Principals and Deputy Principals from eleven East Auckland secondary schools attended, as well as a portion of the Howick Local Board, and local MPs Naisi Chen and Simeon Brown.
The event aimed to outline the projects that would be run by the Howick Youth Council throughout the year, and each council member presented a speech giving an overview of the various high-quality events that would take place in 2023, such as the Howick Youth Summit, Visual Arts Showcase, 2023 General Election Forum, and more. Pakuranga College students Depali Lamba, Myra Singh, and Cerys Gibby represented Pakuranga College by speaking at the event, accompanied by Deputy Principal Ms Jennings-Tyrrell.
