Hosting an international student is a great way to bring the world to your home, create lifelong relationships with people around the world, earn an extra income ($320 per week), and perhaps start a worldwide network for your children’s future OE!
Being a homestay family can be a very rewarding experience and our homestay coordinators work hard to carefully match students and families for a great fit. They are also on call 24/7 to provide support and answer your questions.
To host international students, homestay families need to offer students:
- Their own bedroom with a bed and desk for study
- Fibre internet
- Three meals a day and snacks
- A home within range of Pakuranga College
English should be spoken as the primary language in the home. You will also need to undergo a police vet and provide a character reference.
