Geography Takes to the Mountains

12GEO has been venturing into the unknown recently. After studying the Tongariro Volcanic Centre in class they spent three days in the region gathering data for their assessment, collecting information about soil temperature, wind speed, altitude and even types of vegetation.

Of course, they also had fun visiting Gollum Pool from Lord of the Rings movie, travelling up Mt Ruapehu in the Sky Waka and visiting the historic Chateau building!
