On Tuesday 26 May, eight Year 13 Business Enterprise Studies teams participated in the second Young Enterprise Scheme challenge of the year, which involved pitching their business idea to a panel of judges.
We presented 5-minute pitches on our unique business ideas, which had been ideated, developed, and then validated throughout the course of many months. This required us to research, plan, and develop each of our ideas and work as teams towards a common goal. We displayed an excellent understanding of teamwork and our ability to communicate business ideas efficiently while presenting in front of the judges in a professional setting.
Presenting to judges was an intimidating aspect for a lot of students; however, it increased our confidence levels and showed us exactly what an innovative business plan entails and the processes behind developing it. The feedback given by the judges also helped us improve our business ideas to make them more successful.
Overall, the Young Enterprise Scheme Pitch Challenge was a beneficial and fun experience, which taught us valuable insights into the principles of entrepreneurship.
