Learning our Year 12 salsa dance in Term 1 was so much fun! We learnt from the very talented Enrique Johns, who is a salsa world champion and Dancing with the Stars finalist from E&A Dance Studio. He taught us so many new salsa moves, and I was able to explore a new style of dance in a high-energy class!
We first learnt some salsa basics individually before pairing up and learning partner work. The partner work was really fun as we got to make new connections with our pairs through dancing, and it was something most of the class hadn’t tried before.
A big thank you to Enrique for sharing your awesome knowledge with us, and thank you to Mrs McKellar for organising such a great class. We can’t wait to show off our new moves at the Dance Showcase!
