Recently, we ran a Women in Engineering workshop led by college alumna, Pollen Marcuelo. Students were tasked with programming desk-friendly robots to follow an A3 paper map. They learned how to insert colour sequences so that the optical sensors on the robot could follow their instructions. This tested students’ problem solving and creativity skills as well as their teamwork and leadership.
What an empowering experience for our young wāhine! We hope you are all inspired to follow your engineering dreams.
