ChatGPT. Widely considered to be the 21st century’s biggest global technological assistant since previous artificial assistance such as Siri, Alexa, and Google. It has been used by hundreds of millions of people around the world to assist their critical thinking needs. (Or… do their critical thinking for them.)

However, I am going to talk about why using AI or ChatGPT is not practical for your working life, and the problem with it. As of 2026, I’ve heard that some of you guys have been using ChatGPT for lots of things:

1) Brainstorming

2) Summarising

And the biggest one worldwide:

3) Cheating.

We—us living people—are living in a world which itself is evolving, and ever since the Covid lockdowns, we’ve seen the resurgence of AI improving throughout the 2020s. Over 800 million users have visited ChatGPT throughout the last few years, and the problem is getting worse.

Well… I have some solutions. Things you can do to avoid using ChatGPT:

1) When it comes to brainstorming, it doesn’t mean using ChatGPT. After all, artificial intelligence never had a brain in the first place. Brainstorming literally means using your head, coming up with creative ideas, thinking for yourself.

And that is the main point: that brainstorming means using your brain, not using ChatGPT.

2) Summarising is a great way of breaking down into a main point of a topic, or an idea, which is good, as it helps you understand what you’re learning from it. But, when you ask for help from Artificial Intelligence like ChatGPT, you’re deliberately replacing your teacher in real life. ChatGPT is not a reliable teacher.

If you do not understand what you’re learning, and if you need it summarised, ask your teacher, your friends or your family for assistance. They’re happy to help—truly happy, rather than having been coded to act like it.

3) Lastly, cheating. Of course, cheating has been around for a long time; as centuries have passed, there have been many ways of cheating that people use. However, in the case of ChatGPT and other models, artificial intelligence has brought new opportunities for cheating; a new world that people have scrambled to exploit.

ChatGPT was (apparently) made for one significant purpose only: to help people. But from my own point of view, that isn’t the case at all. After the creation of ChatGPT, people have started taking the cheating game to the next level, by using it to submit AI-generated answers for tests, exams, and assessments. This is not just deceptive, lazy and wrong, but unnecessary. If you put in the effort, put in the time, you could do all this work yourself.

One piece of advice: Just don’t cheat, especially when using AIs like ChatGPT, because you have a brain, and you should really use it. Even though you make mistakes, it doesn’t mean your only option is to have ChatGPT help you.

In conclusion, all I can say is do not trust ChatGPT. It can ruin lives, make you question your existence. The world is almost into the impending doom, and as one fellow Japanese man’s saying goes: “AI is an insult to life itself, and it’s a sign that humans are losing faith in ourselves.” School, office work, various jobs or not, you should really uninstall AI like ChatGPT, OpenAI, and Gemini.

These sites are not worth checking out. Let’s face the reality of it: artificial intelligence is never your assistant, nor helper, nor friend at all.
