To the Year 13s

We walked through doors in uniforms neat,
with nervous hearts and shuffled feet,
but time flew on whispered wings,
and now we stand where the endings sing.

We’ve faced exams and sleepless nights,
shared secret jokes and hallway fights,
we’ve grown through loss, we’ve learned to lead,
we’ve planted hope and dared to dream.

From lunchroom talks to classroom fears,
from awkward laughs to grateful tears,
this year has held both storms and light.
We’ve found our voice, we’ve learned to fight.

We now carry more than what we brought.
sharper minds, and deeper thought.
the friends we’ve made, the truths we hold,
the dreams ahead, the courage bold.

Though paths may split, and roads may bend,
this isn’t where the story ends.
We leave these gates, not with “goodbye”
but “see you later,” said with pride.

So here’s to us, to all we’ve done,
this final year, the battles won.
to Year 13s, our time is now
we rise with strength; we leave with wow.

And as we part, one truth remains:
We’ll never pass this way again.
But in our hearts, this place, this time,
will echo like a gentle chime.
For though we leave, we’ll always be
a part of Year 13’s memory.
