On Monday 11 May, my Year 13 Business Studies group and I had the amazing opportunity to present our business idea to Spark New Zealand for a potential partnership. It was an incredible experience to step into a professional environment and share the work we have been developing throughout the year.
From the moment we arrived, the Spark team made us feel welcomed and valued. Although presenting to professionals was nerve-wracking at first, the experience helped us build confidence in our communication, teamwork, and presentation skills. It was inspiring to see our ideas taken seriously and to receive positive feedback and advice from people working within such a successful New Zealand company.
The meeting also gave us valuable insight into the business world and future career opportunities. Overall, it was a memorable experience that challenged and motivated us, while giving us a greater understanding of what working in business can look like. We are very grateful to Spark for giving us this opportunity and for taking the time to meet with us. We are also especially thankful to our Business Studies teacher, Mr Evans, whose guidance, encouragement, and ongoing support helped make this experience possible for our group.
