Rolling green hills cover the pastoral landscape and colourful doors are scattered throughout. Gardens overflow with colourful flowers and curved crops, interesting trees and plump pumpkins. The environment is idyllic.
The homes reflect their owners’ slow pace of life, with intricate designs, cosy rooms, and collections of charming treasures. It’s enchanting, like stepping into a window in time. As you walk down the cobbly dirt path you can feel a sense of community. Houses are filled with tools and treasures so that you can see their owners’ occupations — maybe a butcher, maybe a baker, or a candlestick maker! Every detail fills the community with warmth, resourcefulness and a neighbourly feel.
A frog pond is nestled in the long, green grass, rippling peacefully, and beyond it, the local inn is finally in view. Its rustic nature is surreal, seeming to glow in the sunlight and stand out in the pastures. As you step inside, you can hear lively chatter, and smell the aroma of fresh food and cold drinks: “the only brew for the brave and true”.
This village is a place where comfort, joy, and nature come together to build a community. From the old rocking chairs to the smell of blooming flowers, every detail brings something to the environment. When you’re standing there, the wind in your hair and the grass flowing, all your worries seem to disappear. And maybe, that is the true magic of Hobbiton.
