Futsal
Ka pai tō mahi to our futsal teams who dominated this season! Both our girls and boys teams were undefeated the whole season, winning their grades!
- The girls crushed their games against Epsom and Baradene, winning 22-0, along with a 6-0 win in their final game!
- The boys had a 10-0 win against Tamaki College, along with a 3-0 win in their last game!
Ultimate Frisbee
Big cheers for our ultimate frisbee teams’ efforts at the NZSS Ultimate Nationals in Taupō!
Our girls took home the bronze, proving themselves in the very competitive Girls’ Division! Our boys were named the champions of the Open Division, managing to clinch the tie-breaking point in their final against Hutt Valley ending 11-10!
We are so proud of your commitment everybody. Enjoy the victory!
Netball
Our netball teams have been busy playing at two pre-season tournaments and collecting some great results.
At the Auckland Netball Pre-Season Tournament:
- Premier 1 won their games against Glendowie College, Baradene 2 and Tamaki College.
- Year 10 Amethyst won against Botany Downs Secondary College and EGGS.
- Year 9 Emerald won against Selwyn College and Orewa College.
At the Mt Roskill Grammar School (MRGS) Pre-Season Tournament:
- Premier 1 won against MRGS, Marcellin College and Onehunga High School.
- Year 10 Amethyst won against Marcellin College and MRGS.
- Year 9 Emeralds won against MRGS, Marcellin College and Marist.
A huge thank you to all the managers, coaches, and umpires for all their help.
Football
1st XI Girls
Our 1st XI Girls’ Football team kicked off the first game of the season with an epic win at home, dominating Northcote College in a 5-1 win. Congratulations, girls!
1st XI Boys
Congratulations to our 1st XI Boys’ Football team for an awesome effort in their opening match of the season. The team secured a 3-1 win in a competitive game against Kingsway College and backed it up with a 4-1 win over Ormiston Senior College.

1st XI Hockey Girls
Our 1st XI Girls’ Hockey team played a thrilling game against Carmel College last week, ending in a 1-1 draw! The girls are super excited to get into the season and keep improving each week.
1st XI Hockey Boys
Our 1st XI Boys’ Hockey team played a super tough match against Auckland Grammar last week. They showed awesome skill for a new and fairly young team, but were just pipped by the opposition, finishing with a 2-1 loss. We are really excited to see how the season progresses, with early results showing huge potential. Keep up the hard work and determination, boys!

AKSS Athletics Championships
Pakūranga College had an epic day at the AKSS Athletics Championships on Tuesday 17 and Thursday 19 March at Go Media Stadium! We had 22 students represent the college, and they did us proud!
Junior Girls:
- Emily Cartwright: 7th in High Jump
- Jasmine Laban: 10th in Long Jump
Intermediate Girls:
- Jordan Viljeon: 1st in 80m hurdles and 3rd in 400m
- Clara Rinder: 1st in Javelin and 6th in Shot Put
- Leah Marais: 6th in 800m and 8th in 1500m
Senior Girls:
- Veronique Koole: 1st in Shot Put
Junior Boys:
- Tate Purcell: 6th in Shot Put
Intermediate Boys:
- Marc Patience: 5th in High Jump
- Craig van Gemst: 10th in 3000m
Senior Boys:
- Maurizio Violas: 3rd in High Jump
North Island Secondary Schools Track & Field Championships
Our superstar Pakūranga College athletes competed at the North Island Secondary Schools Track & Field Championships last term with incredible results!
Intermediate Girls:
- Jordan Viljeon: 2nd in 80m Hurdles, 2nd in High Jump with a jump of 1.73m, almost beating the record height!
- Clara Rinder: 3rd in Javelin, throwing 32.57m.
Senior Boys:
- Maurizio Viola: 2nd in High Jump with a jump of 1.86m, gathering a big crowd with his final jumps!
Senior Girls
- Veronique Koole: 5th in Javelin.

Archery
Congratulations to our college archers who had some amazing results in the 2026 season of the College Sport Archery League! The recurve team claimed silver despite having one less team member than their competitors and the compound team placed 3rd!
A special mention to Sophie Michael who, during practice, managed to shoot a Robin Hood (her shot was so accurate that she struck the back of an arrow already in the target)!
