Three Year 13 Media Studies students, Lily Pearce, Blake Elliott and Max Hewin, recently interviewed Member of Parliament and Green Party co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick for their documentary Snared.

The group’s documentary explores the impact of commercial fishing and by-catch on Auckland marine environments and will feature interviews with a range of prominent experts.

The group met Ms Swarbrick at her electoral office in the Auckland CBD to conduct their interview and get the Green Party’s take on what policies could help protect marine life. They asked a lot of thought-provoking questions about government policy, as well as getting the lowdown on what young people can do to help. Snared will be completed by the end of Term 3.
