On Friday 19 June, we were honoured to host a mihi whakatau attended by representatives from mana whenua, Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, where piupiu were presented to our kapa haka rōpū, Te Tai o Pakūranga.

The piupiu have been a year in the making, with harakeke first being cut and dried before artist Tessa Harris and her team began weaving 20 beautiful piupiu for our kapa haka wāhine. Ngā mihi nui to Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki for these beautiful taonga, which will be treasured by the college.

Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi.
