In honour of Matariki, students from the Service Council and Kainga Rua collected PJs for Jammies in June. They managed to collect 115 pyjama sets across the school last term!
Jammies in June is an annual winter fundraiser led by the Middlemore foundation and national ambassador, Dame Valerie Adams. The initiative aims to provide warm, new winter pjs to vunerable tamariki. It has been running in Auckland for 14 years and this year it has expanded to Wellington as well!
A special shout-out to TGRD, who were the Whānau Group to collect the most pairs! They also made the amazing decision to use the money offered for a pizza lunch to buy even more PJs.
The Middlemore Foundation were blown away and incredibly grateful for the generosity! Thank you to the Service Council and Kainga Rua leaders for organising such a successful fundraiser. And thank you to everyone who donated, you have helped Kiwi kids stay warm this winter.
