One unsure hand,
grasping another
Grip strong as sand,
pulls to each other.

One soft as cloud,
one tough as leather
When things are too loud,
this is their tether.

Hands reach up,
arms bend down
Warmth fills a cup,
sugary and brown.

Get tucked in tight,
start counting sheep
Everything’s all right,
just go to sleep.
