Year 13 students Elaine Zhu, Hashmeet Kaur, and Aliza Jivani represented Pakūranga College at the 2026 UAIC High School Stock Pitch finals run by the University of Auckland Investment Club. The event teaches students how to analyse a company and then put their pitching skills into practise. This year, the company the teams presented on was The Warehouse Group.
As part of the competition, students have the opportunity to join a call with the management team of The Warehouse Group, who talk about their business and answer questions. Students are then required to submit their presentation slides via email. From these submissions, a number of teams are selected to compete in an online heat in which they present their slides to a panel of senior students for 10 minutes and answer questions for 10 minutes. From there, the top five teams are chosen to present their pitch in person at the University of Auckland.
Congratulations to these students who made the finals from an initial 60 teams that entered from around the country. It is wonderful to see your success; you have done us all proud! Thank you to Mr Thai, who has supported the team throughout the competition.
