The first night of our Drama Showcase was held on Wednesday 20 September, which included many of our senior Drama students performing short monologues or excerpts from various plays, as well as our musical theatre group – the Drama Llamas – performing a piece from Percy Jackson the musical.
For many of our Year 13 students these two nights are their final nights performing at Pakūranga College and the Drama Showcase really enabled these stars to shine.
It was great to see our Principal, Michael Williams, get involved with some audience participation and our Italian international students be part of a stand-out performance!
A massive congratulations to Head of Drama Darren Bowyer-Warner for pulling it all together! Thank you to Year 13 student, Rhys Jones, for MCing the event, and sound and lighting technician, Year 10 student, Max Hewin, who enabled the audience to see and hear the magnificent performances. Finally, thank you to Matthew Waters, teacher in charge of the Drama Llama group!
