Throughout Careers Week, students had the opportunity to hear from 13 past students, police officers and teachers, gaining valuable insights into the many career pathways and opportunities after high school. From developing the perfect CV with Mrs McKay to learning what it takes to join the police force, each workshop offered helpful advice and experiences for students. Students also got to attend various Q&As with people from a variety of universities, institutes and career paths, giving them the chance to ask questions and explore their interests.
Additionally, some Year 12 students attended the East Auckland Careers Expo, connecting with a range of tertiary education, training and employment opportunities. Careers week has been extremely beneficial for students, looking to find out more about their future and what pathways they could take after leaving Pakūranga College.
