The last week of Term 2 was spent celebrating Chinese Language Week with games, crafts, and dance! On the Rive deck, students participated in fun Chinese games. One game played was Jianzi, which is like badminton, but instead of a racket, you use your foot to pass the shuttlecock! Touhu, or pitch-pot, is another ancient Chinese game our students played where the aim is to throw arrows into a vase.
A main highlight of the week was the performances our Chinese Dance Group put on in the Hall during lunch. From beautiful fan dances to modern C-pop performances, the crowd was buzzing and showing lots of support for the dancers!
谢谢 (thank you) to our Chinese Cultural Group, who have organised amazing events to share their culture with the rest of the college.
