On Monday 2 November, Year 13 student business, Fuzion, attended the 2026 Young Enterprise Scheme East Auckland Regional Finals. Elaine Zhu, Hashmeet Kaur, Mari Blokker, Cullen White, Amon Sivilay, and Maylee Srey Chhou, have worked throughout the year to form Fuzion and learn what it takes to run a business. Their wellness drink powder has been a hit amongst their target market and the team has managed to bring in plenty of sales.
Their hard work and commitment paid off with an Excellence in Finance award at the finals, acknowledging their business’ healthy financial position.
2025 alum, Liam Gallagher, also attended the event to share his experiences with the YES programme last year. His group’s business, Licence to Win, was awarded Business of the Year at the regional finals last year and is still going strong.
