The school day begins at 8.40 am. There are five, one hour periods for five days. The standard school programme finishes at 3.15 pm. Additional subjects and tutorials are offered in the late afternoon and evenings, particularly before exam time.

NCEA EXTERNAL EXAMINATION TIMETABLE 2019
The NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship examination period for 2019 is as follows:
Start – Thursday 7 November 2019
End – Monday 2 December 2019.
The first examination will take place on Thursday 7 November 2019. There will be no examination on Friday 15 November – Canterbury Anniversary Day.
Dates will be confirmed when the examination timetable is published on 3 December 2018.
