On Tuesday 13 May, Pakūranga College student representatives Mischa Marais, Josh Van Coller, Emily Muir, Lydia Qiu, Amy Grinsted, and Tanya Xiao had the amazing opportunity to attend a leadership conference held at Massey High School.
School representatives from all around Auckland came together to collaborate and expand upon our leadership experiences and grow in our skills. It was an extremely beneficial and positive experience for us to meet students from other schools, as well as learn and improve alongside them! It gave us insight into how different ways of leading can be effective, strengthened by an amazing speech from MP Jenny Salesa. Our fellow representatives were extremely inspiring and have given us even more motivation to lead well in our kura and strive to be better individuals as we do so.
We were extremely grateful for this opportunity and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves while growing, learning, and getting out of our comfort zones as well!
