Assistant to the Associate Principal and Deputy Principals Team

Permanent Position, Term Time Only

Pakuranga College is seeking to employ an Assistant to the Associate Principal and Deputy Principals Team. This is a permanent position for 37.5 hours per week during Secondary term time.

 

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement and this position has been graded as Grade 4 and the hourly rate will be based on experience.

 

The position will include tasks such as:

  • Providing accurate and timely administrative support for the AP/DP team regarding arranging meetings, monitoring of communications and correspondence
  • Providing responsive and professional liaison with outside agencies and companies
  • Providing seamless college calendar maintenance and daily event scheduling
  • Providing high quality and accurate written correspondence
  • Working accurately within the school student database
  • Providing support and organisation of specific school-wide events
  • Collation of weekly information to disseminate to staff via the staff communication channels
  • Liaison with staff and students, as necessary, to provide support and event organisation of the annual Open Days
  • Providing professional and accurate liaison with the school’s photographic supplier for school purposes
  • Assist senior leadership staff to arrange parent/student/staff conferences and ensure dissemination of information to staff and caregivers is accurate
  • Provide assistance with meeting room bookings, as necessary
  • Provide Returning Officer administration for the annual Student Board elections
  • Liaison with the Principals’ EA to ensure workflows are accurate and monitored

  • Strong planning & organisation skills to meet deadlines

 

We use Kamar as our Student Management System. This is a fast- paced, busy role. Training will be provided. You must be eligible to work in New Zealand to apply for this position. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory police vet.

Accounting and Business Teacher

Permanent, Full-Time

 We are looking for a suitably qualified, dynamic and passionate teacher of Accounting and Business to join our dynamic school in Term 1, 2023. The ability to teach NCEA Level 3 Accounting would be advantageous.

 

We are looking for an educator who will inspire and encourage our students of all abilities to achieve their goals.

 

Our staff must be willing to embrace our digital learning environment and to contribute to the active co-curricular life of the school.

 

For overseas teachers looking to move to New Zealand teach, the terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $54,948 to $90,000, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
