Marketing & Communications Manager
Pakuranga College is seeking to employ a Marketing & Communications Manager. This is a permanent position for 25 hours per week, term time only. There will be additional hours at times to meet critical deadlines. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least five years of experience in a related field, along with relevant tertiary qualifications
Experience in the successful application of a wide range of marketing channels, including eDM, print, web and social media
Experience in budget management
Excellent communication skills; able to formulate and write articles, web content and press releases to a high standard
Experience in developing internal communication strategies and content
High motivation with a demonstrated ability to be proactive and lead relevant initiatives from start to finish; handle multiple responsibilities
Able to work unsupervised to achieve set goals without the need for direct supervision
The ability to work in consultative and team environments
The skills to relate well and deal effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent computer skills and proficient in the use of Office applications (proficiency in graphic design software would be an advantage, but is not essential).
Knowledge of Mail Chimp
Knowledge of WordPress website management (would be an advantage, but is not essential).

The position will include tasks such as:
Planning, developing and creating a range of promotional materials
Management of the College website and all other social media sites
Maintaining the College display materials
Managing brand consistency
Attending key College events and documenting them photographically
Lead, develop and implement whole College communications programme
Ensure all communications meet a high standard and include College branding
Develop and deliver a proactive online College presence
Use social media to opportunities to promote the College
Monitor content of social media sites and respond accordingly
Create and distribute College eDM newsletters linked to digital content on the College and media websites
Maintain eDM and alumni databases
Develop and lead positive a public relations strategy and public relations campaigns, with regular press releases promoting the success of the College
Manage the departmental budget

This positions oversees responsibility for the strategic management and marketing of our international student programme, as well as overall responsibility for the pastoral and academic needs of our international students.
The ideal candidate will:
Have exceptional people skills, including the ability to relate to both internal and external stakeholders with patience and professionalism.
Demonstrate empathy with other cultures.
Have excellent writing and organisational skills, including budgeting and strategic planning.
Be well versed in the Ministry of Education Code of Practice 2016, including compliance requirements.
Have some familiarity with NCEA.
Flexibility to travel internationally for marketing purposes.
