Mental Health Awareness Week was held from 26 September to 2 October. It is run annually by the Mental Health Foundation.

This year’s theme was Reconnect. The past couple of years have been tough and it was easy to feel disconnected from people and places that are important to us.

To help activate the theme our school’s Safe School Council got involved in a tutor activity during the week. Each group built a Whare Hauora using the Ta Whare Tapa Whā model, the four pillars of Māori health. Below are some examples:
