19 Jun University of Auckland Classics Day
This year’s Classics Day at Auckland University on 12th June was fantastic. Our Year 13 Classical Studies students learned a little bit of ancient Greek, quite a lot of Latin and definitely heaps about the topics we’re studying for end of year exams.
We discovered lots of amazing facts, from how the Colosseum got its name to why, 2000 years on, we still read the Aeneid. The lecturers did a great job of giving us a glimpse of what university is all about.
Thank you to Dr Davison and Mrs Siljeur who accompanied the students.
