22 Jun Term 2 Whanau Hui
On Wednesday 14th June, the Junior Maori Leadership Team organised and ran the Term 2 Whanau Hui. They welcomed Maori students, whanau, friends,10 Staff and Board of Trustee Representative Mrs Kelly Bigwood.
Kauri Chan and the Williams whanau provided musical entertainment.
The Whakawhanaungatanga story was told by Mr Tyne Crowe, Te Ati Awa ki Taranaki. He then introduced guest speaker Eric Rangi night to talk about the Game Development industry in New Zealand. Both Mr Crowe and Eric Rangi have developed games including those designed to teach Te Reo Maori.
Te Haua Taua and Mikayla Murray acknowledged the work and support of Ms Rosalie Pederson, who has been a leader in the Junior Maori Leadership Team. Ms Pederson will be leaving to take up a position at Howick College.
