Emily Cooper – Dance
Congratulations to Year 9 student, Emily Cooper, who recently competed at the Papakura Performing Arts Competition against dancers from nationwide and came out on top! Emily competed in tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical and jazz and placed either 1st or 2nd in all her events, also receiving the Supreme Dance Award in the U14 category. We can’t wait to see Emily in action in our Dance Academy and Hip Hop crew!
Premier Netball

Our Premier Netball team started the season on 6 May with an evenly contested match against St Cuthbert’s College. Both teams fought long and hard, finishing the match with an astounding draw of 31-31. The following round was another nail-biter, losing by just one goal to Epsom Girls’ Grammar 26-27.

1st XI  Football

The girls’ team has had  a very busy start to the season, with a 4-4 draw against Carmel College, 5-2 win against Rutherford College, and then three games stacked together over just one week.

The girls had a convincing 8-1 win over Marist, but lost to Onehunga High School 0-3 and Botany Downs Secondary College 1-2. The girls have a rest now, playing St Mary’s at home on Wednesday 24 May at 4.00pm – come along and support them!

The boys’ team has had a win, a draw and a loss from their season to date, losing to Takapuna Grammar School 0-4 in their most recent game. They drew against Avondale College and won against Mt Roskill Grammar School. Both the 1st and 2nd XI Boys’ Football teams play at home on Saturday 20 May. come to the field at 10am to support them both.

1st XI Hockey

The boys’ team start the season with a win against Sacred Heart, but unfortunately recorded losses against Mt Albert Grammar and Mt Roskill Grammar. The girls had a tough start to the season with a 0-2 loss to Pukekohe High School.

Basketball

Our boys team have yet to play a game after being rained off in the severe downpour last Tuesday, but our girls have started their season. With experienced play-maker Eden Vaka on the bench with injury, the girls fought hard, but lost by just 6 points to Marcellin.

Rugby

After a bye in Round 1, the 1st XV Rugby team opened their season campaign against Southern Cross College. They recorded a 5-10 loss, but great to get a game under their belts. The boys play at home this week, conme along at 12pm to support them.
