Gentlemen Hip Hop Champs

16 Sep Gentlemen Hip Hop Champs

Congratulations to Tate Miller (Year 12) and Milan Gulati (Year 13) who are part of the Gentlemen Mini Crew hip hop dance group. This crew gained first place at the Hip Hop International New Zealand competition. Placing first qualifies them to represent New Zealand and compete at the Hip Hop International World Championships online. This is an outstanding achievement that these students worked hard for and can be very proud of.

Milan commented: “This year’s competition was quite a bit of a challenge as it was made into an online event due to the Covid restrictions, but overall the experience was fun. The trainings that we had were difficult and really pushed my team to become the best, which we can proudly say we finally are in NZ!”

Tate added: “For me, qualifying for the HHI Worlds competition has always been a goal. Although we weren’t able to compete in the U.S this year due to Covid, being able to say that I have qualified is a great achievement. I’m very lucky to be able to represent NZ in such an important competition.” Tate Miller – Year 12

We wish them the best of luck for the international finals!
