Farewell to International Students

06 Jul Farewell to International Students

This week we are feeling  rather sad about saying goodbye to 36 of our international students. These students have made a huge  contribution  to the diversity of our school.

They will be returning home to the following countries – Brazil, Switzerland, Colombia, Germany, Taiwan, France, Japan, Chile, Thailand, Korea, Italy, China, and Bolivia.

We know they have made lifelong  friends here and  many have told us how they would love to stay on here even longer. We hope we will see some of them back in NZ one day!

Next term we will be welcoming 48 new international students to our school. They will be coming from the same countries as our leavers, but in addition we are also very excited to be welcoming our first two students from Mexico and our first student from Norway  in Term 3!

If you are a Pakuranga College family and would be interested in hosting an international student, please contact  our Homestay Co-ordinator Karen McAndrew  for details: kmcandrew@pakuranga.school.nz
