Enviromental Council Create Murals to Enhance the College

26 Oct Enviromental Council Create Murals to Enhance the College

The Envirocouncil students are working on Murals for each house that are to be put up on the outside wall of the old gym here at the college.

Every tutor group has helped prepare the background of the Mural for their particular house in the house colour, then silhouettes of the house trees have been added. The amazing pictured here is for the Nikau Mural with painters; Sarah Pearson and Sue Lynn Leung.

The college’s Enviromental Council is a student council run by a group of students called the executive who lead environmental activities around the school. The sort of activities they are involved in include, looking after our Pakuranga stream, enhancing the school environment – hence the murals, growing trees from seedlings to plant in the community (Trees for Survival Project with Rotary), organic gardening project and promoting recycling and energy saving (Schoolgen Project with Genesis Energy) in the school.

Great job all!
