Enviro Council Visits Wakaaranga

08 Jul Enviro Council Visits Wakaaranga

Last week, 15 students from the Environmental Council went to Wakaaranga Primary School for the Schoolgen trip. The aim of this trip was to teach Year 6 students about energy, electricity and greenhouse gases through various demonstrations and science experiments. We wanted to encourage the younger students to take interest in science and to care for the environment.

The trip was a success! We ran 6 different stations for 90 students to participate in. The students enjoyed playing with solar powered cars, using the van de graaf, making ice cream, playing kahoots and so much more. We look forward to going back to Wakaaranga in the future to continue the education around renewable energy and the benefits that it has for our environment.
