BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Governing Pakuranga College to its full potential

The Board of Trustees is a locally elected Board that governs Pakuranga College. All state and state integrated schools in New Zealand have their own Board of Trustees.

The Board is responsible for establishing the College’s charter, which sets out the aims and objectives of the school.

A SCHOOL BOARD TYPICALLY INCLUDES:

  • The Principal
  • A Staff Trustee
  • Parent Trustees (between 3 and 7)
  • A Student Trustee
  • A Board may also include co-opted trustees, i.e. trustees who are formally asked to be part of the Board without being elected by the school community.

BOT Meetings Schedule

Board of Trustees meetings are public meetings. All members of the public are invited to attend (except for when the Board goes into ‘committee’). Dates for the meetings are as follows and are available on request, please email principal@pakuranga.school.nz . Meeting agendas are set just before each meeting and are also available upon request.
