AUT Art Trip

17 Aug AUT Art Trip

On Tuesday 8th of August, Ms. Woodhead organized the annual Year 13 Visual Art Trip to AUT. 75 Year 13 students from Photography, Painting, Design and Sculpture traveled into the city to visit the Art and Design Faculty of AUT.

The purpose of the trip was to show students possible study options for 2018. For students to see the reality of tertiary education, regardless of subject or faculty, is a great motivator for them to make the most of their last ten weeks of school.

We are lucky to be able to have Fiona Amundsen, who is an ex Pakuranga College student and a tutor in Photography and Art Theory at AUT, as a contact person. Fiona organized ex Pakuranga College students who are now in third year to talk to the students and answer questions. The students were then taken on a short tour of the studios and workshops.
