Students will have the opportunity to complete an achievement standard or a unit standard course at levels 1, 2
or 3. They also have an option of attempting the achievement standard and unit standard courses together, while
completing a portfolio. The opportunity to multi-level is also available to learners if they so wish.

You will learn to:

Course cost: $20.00 Students will be supplied with the fabrics and notions (buttons, hooks, elastic etc) needed

Prerequisites: level 1 literacy or at the discretion of the head of department
Course cost: $20 Students will be supplied with the fabrics and notions (buttons, hooks, elastic etc.) needed for
mock-up/practice garments. Students will provide own material for take home garments.
Due to changes currently being made to level 2 standards by NZQA, there may b e some minor changes to this
course in 2012.

the practice undertaken by different technologists

necessarily to produce a more complex outcome
• develop a design brief for fashion drawings, and produce fashion drawings for a portfolio
