Hockey is one of the stronger more competitive sports currently offered at Pakuranga College with the 1st XI Boys playing in the Auckland Premier Grade and the 1st XI Girls playing in A Grade. Over the past couple of years both teams have achieve some outstanding results both in the Auckland Competition and at National Tournaments. In addition the school has also produced a numbers of representative players across all age groups, with some going on to compete at NHL and International level.
Currently the school fields 6 teams a year 3 boys and 3 girls teams which play in the Auckland Competition. All games are held mid-week and we always welcome fresh faces to the sport. The school is also lucky to have a sand turf which is lit by flood lights and available to all teams for practice.
